Cairo’s Fashion Nights 2nd Edition

After the successful launch of CAIRO’S FASHION NIGHTS in November 2011, PASHION magazine partnered up with The First Mall Cairo to present the 2nd edition on February 9th, 2013.

The leading international fashion & luxury brands in the Egyptian capital, home in The First Mall Cairo, alongside the best of the new crop of young Egyptian designers and local brands rolled out the red carpet to showcase their latest creations and bring a touch of international fashion to the city.  From Azza Fahmy’s “Travel Through Time” exhibition, a collective exhibition by the fashion students of the Career Gates Institute, to countless competitions and special promotions by Amina K., Sabry Marouf, Deana Shaaban, The Pink Powder Room, Chou & Sou, The Sahara Collection, El Sastre,  Maja Soric, UNTY, Threads, Nazeeka, Nada Akram Designs, Nevine Altmann, Salvatore Ferragamo, Carlo Joaillier, Enrica D, Polo, Royal Fashion, Hip, Tiffany & Co., Safi Boutique, Villar, Tanis, MyFlashBag, Diva’s Online Boutique, Al Horreya, Mix’n Match, Nerfertari, Air Marine, Genny Gallery’s, Baraka Optics & many others.  Renowned Cairo fashion and jewelry retailers Amuse, Dima Jewellery, Euphoria and Villa Baboushka also joined the fashion extravaganza in setting up pop-up stores for the night. Among the evening highlights  was the cocktail hosted by the French Ambassador & Mrs.Nicolas Galey celebrating “The Best of French Fashion in Cairo”, showcasing the latest looks by Nina Ricci, Lanvin, Celine and Kenzo at Club 35. Guests also enjoyed give aways by The Four Seasons First Residence and every woman’s beauty questions were answered by Dr.Hisham El Miniawy at the Restylane booth. Fashion also went hand in hand with charity with Bulgari’s launch of the “Save the Children Egypt” initiative and the sales of sliver bracelets designed by Reham Essam, endorsed by Egyptian movie star Youssra in support of The Egyptian Society for Diabetes Care – Sukar Mazboot.  A string of fashion shows organized by Ghadir Al Agabany, peaking with Hany El Behairy’s collection “For the Love of Egypt” added buzz, with a string of Egypt’s top models coiffed by Mohammed Al Sagheer Salons.  The countless guests that filled the mall, were joined by local and international media, including Glenn Belverion who covered the event for Diane Pernet’s pioneering fashion blog A Shaded View of Fashion, Rotana Masr, CairoScene, Egypt’s leading online fashion source Fashion Threads and the Fashion Show by Disalata.com.
