Rome fashion week goes live from the iconic Cinecittà’s Studio 12 from February 18 to 20.
Organized by Altaroma with the support of the Italian Trade Agency and of the
Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, and thanks to the help of the Partners (the
Chamber of Commerce of Rome, the Region of Lazio, the Metropolitan City and the publicly owned
company “Risorse per Roma”), this intense, completely digital 3-day event is now live on the
Altaroma Digital Runway platform.
One of PASHION’s favorite fashion weeks, Rome fashion week sets itself apart from other fashion weeks in the curated mix of forums, fashion shows, online presentations, and the seventh edition of Showcase – the most notable
initiative of Altaroma, which promotes emerging and independent brands producing in Italy. Made-in-Italy quality is the keystone of the Rome Fashion Week, which comes into the homes of a global audience thanks to the live stream from the Cinecittà Studios. The platform allows a global audience to follow all the events online and at the same time, fashion professionals have access to a reserved area to meet and interact with designers and buyers until the end of May.
To encourage and promote the next generation, Altaroma involves fashion academies
ABA Roma – Accademia di Belle Arti di Roma, Accademia Italiana, IED – Istituto Europeo di
Design, MAM – Maiani Accademia Moda, NABA- Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti and Koefia, showcasing their student’s work.
A final word that sums it all up by Silvia Venturini Fendi, President of Altaroma: “This year the keyword is opportunity. Consistently with our mission of supporting young brands, we want to give them an opportunity. And
this opportunity must be taken by participants and by the stakeholders collaborating with us, in order
for the work of the last difficult months to achieve success and to give new impetus to the industry,
which has suffered a lot because of the pandemic.”
All there is left to say is Ciao Roma!
