The Design Studio by Azza Fahmy is joining forces with The American University in Cairo to introduce a jewelry design curriculum of international quality. The 19-week multi-dimensional Fashion Jewelry course will be divided into technical, theoretical and business aspects. Students will be learning design concepts, jewelry making, how to find their voice in the fashion jewelry world, and business strategies; they will learn how to create a collection from scratch and then how to incorporate it into the market.
The program will take place every Saturday between the AUC Tahrir campus and the Design Studio in Fostat to add up to a total of 120 hours. DSAF will be tackling the creative aspect of the course: how to search for inspirations, how the dynamic environment of fashion affects jewelry design, and how to create your own pieces. The School of Continuing Education at The American University in Cairo will be handling the business-related matters: how to materialize your talents and designs into a business.
Launching this November, this program is for everyone who is passionate about jewelry making and looking for an opportunity to receive an immense amount of knowledge about it with ways to implement it.
