Born out of the vision to bring together like minded women of Egyptian society, Elxy Vodka and Pashion magazine teamed up to create the #Elxypashionladies club. In it’s first edition, of the bi-monthly events, 15 women of Egyptian society, representing art, design, fashion and a pure joy for life, were invited to a unique event in collaboration with the Azza Fahmy Design Studio, Egypt’s leading school for jewellery making. Among the guests Egyptian singing sensation Lara Scandar, fashion designer Amina Khalil, TV personality Dana Hamdan and social media influencer Heba Serag Eldin. The event team of Elyx Egypt excelled in setting up a mesmerizing interior at the Caravanserai art space in Zamalek. Complementing the display of the works of the graduating students of the Azza Fahmy Design Studio, elegant hammered copper buckets were filled with white flower arrangements set amidst candles and customized table settings, while the Elxy bar bearing a big sign reading “Hand Crafted” took center stage and became the meeting point for guests as they arrived. A choice of cocktails, mixed to everyone’s liking, were served in beautiful copper Pineapples. Leila Mourey and Susan Sabet welcomed the guests before Egypt’s and the Arab world’s most famous jewellery designers, Azza Fahmy, took the lead to give a short talk on her fascinating career and the school she founded. To their surprise guests found themselves seated at a large table filled with jewellery making tools inspired by the Elyx house codes. Guided by two of the schools instructors they let their creativity go wild in creating their own copper jeweler pieces that eventually found its place in a beautiful custom made box, as the perfect souvenir. After all the hard work done, a specially devised, Elxy Vodka infused menu was served by Egypt’s hottest name in catering, The Cookery, putting a perfect ending to a perfect afternoon in Egypt’s vibrant capital.
