Egypt Fashion Awards 2nd edition open call! After last year’s successful launch of Egypt Fashion Awards the highly anticipated 2nd edition was announced this week. Hosted by Mall of Arabia in partnership with the Egyptian Fashion & Design Council and the British Council Egypt and organized by SS Consulting, this year’s edition will award 3 winners with a fully paid participation at Pure London, the UKs largest trade fair for apparel.
On hand for the press conference were Nadia Ezz, Executive Marketing & PR Director Marakez, Heba El Zein, Creative Economic Lead, British Council Egypt, Susan Sabet, Board Member, The Egyptian Fashion & Design Council and the Egypt Fashion Awards ’23 ambassadors and judges Egyptian actresses Injy El Mokkaddem and Hanady Mehanna.
Egyptian fashion, accessory and jewelry designers can now apply on www.egyptfashionawards.com . The esteemed advisory board, that includes Josette Awwad, founder Azyaamode, Ayman Fakoussa, Managing Partner The Qode, Hatem Al Akeel, founder of Authenticite and Susan Sabet, publisher PASHION magazine and EFDC Board Member, will select five finalists in the four categories: young designers, up to 2 years in the business, emerging fashion designers, from 2 to 8 years in the business, emerging accessory designers, from 2 to 8 years in the business and emerging jewelry designers, from 2 to 8 years in the business.
The finalists will be announced on August 15th. Public voting will start on September 5th. A selected group of judges will select the winners at the final fashion show and award ceremony on September 26th at Mall of Arabia.
