On March 4th, during Paris fashion week, HE Alaa Youssef & his spouse Mrs.Mahitab Marzouk hosted the Egyptian Fashion & Design Council to officially announce the first edition of Egypt Fashion Week to take place from May 19 to 23 , 2022 in Cairo.
The Egyptian embassy and EFDC board members Susan Sabet and Paul Antaki hosted an exhibition of 20 emerging Egyptian fashion, accessory and jewelry designers that welcomed members of the French and international media as well as diplomats and members of the international community in France.
In the evening HE the ambassador and his spouse welcomed guests including ambassadors, diplomats, French, Arab and international fashion industry members and VIP guests to a reception in the splendid residence on Place des Etats Unis.
A welcome speech by HE Alaa Youssef was followed by a speech of Mr.Paul Antaki, the President of the Egyptian Fashion & Design Council, sharing details of the program and mission of Egypt Fashion Week.
The event was supported by Egypt’s national carrier EgyptAir and France’s leading shopping destination, Galeries Lafayette, which provided beautiful gift bags.
