BFC SCHOLARS TAKE ON BRIDGERTON

Netflix has partnered with the British Fashion Council to celebrate fashion’s future stars and support the growth of fashion industry. The collaboration has the leading Bridgerton actors present the Regency-era inspired designs by the most talented British Fashion Council students.

Mentored by designer (and Duchess of Cambridge favorite) Jenny Packham, BFC scholars Ifeanyi Okwuadi, Latifa Neyazi, and Jeongmin Ji fulfilled a brief for contemporary Regency-inspired outfits for each character.

As Bridgerton premiered season 2 on March 22nd, the cast were out in full glam for a press photo opportunity at the Tate Modern. Influencers walked the red carpet wearing the bespoke British Fashion Council scholarship pieces. These included interiors influencer Paula Sutton, baker Crystelle Pereira, lifestyle influencer Onyi Moss, fashion influencer Tyreece Nye, blogger The Silk Sneaker and fitness influencer Alex Crockford.

“We are delighted to partner with Netflix once again, for the launch of the highly anticipated second season of Bridgerton. This long-standing partnership is testament to fashion’s role within culture and its importance within entertainment and TV. It was fantastic to work with such an inspiring designer such as Jenny Packham, who played an instrumental role in mentoring the BFC Scholars and providing them with knowledge and advice.” Gemma Juviler, Commercial Director, BFC:

“It has been a pleasure to be involved with the British Fashion Council’s collaboration with Netflix and Bridgerton. I’m a big fan of the show and its sexy, flirty and glamorous wardrobe! The students chosen – Ifeanyi, Latifa and Jeongmin – rose to the occasion and created jaw dropping ensembles carefully crafted with youthful energy and style. Talking through their designs and then seeing the garments materialise was inspiring. They designed without limitations and worked with the actors to perfect their patterns to create a modern take on Regency.” Jenny Packham
